Connection Over Profit: Why We Are Building the Yibnib Universe.

We live in a world that often encourages us to only stick with people who look, think, and act exactly like we do. It is a world that can feel incredibly isolating for anyone who processes life a little differently.

When I founded The Woven Roots Co., and when I created the Yibnib Sensory and Autism App, I didn't do it to build a traditional tech company. I built it for my non-verbal son.

I wanted to give him a digital "datapad" just like the one his favourite character, Yibnib, uses to navigate the world. A safe space entirely free of ads, paywalls, and overstimulating noise. Today, seeing that very app expand his vocabulary and help him express himself is the greatest return on investment I could ever ask for.

That is why we don't charge for the Yibnib app. Our goal isn't to scale fast or maximize profit; it is to help as many young children and families as we can.

We are choosing to build slow. We are expanding this universe step-by-step through sensory-friendly games, books, and upcoming comics, all designed to show children that being different isn't just okay—it is good. Different minds bring different magic to the world. Most importantly, being different doesn't mean you can't connect.
